Running Amicus on any PDA or Smartphone that uses Windows Mobile, Amicus Mobile is a miniature version of Amicus Attorney. Using your cellular or wireless network it connects real-time all-the-time to your Amicus Server.

Work with your files, do time entries, make notes, return phone messages, send stickies, schedule appointments, record phone calls and more. Amicus and Blackberry®

Contact and Calendar information (your appointments & tasks) can be synchronized between your Blackberry and Amicus. Take advantage of the Microsoft® Outlook Contacts & Calendar link to create a dynamic real-time synchronization between Amicus Attorney and Outlook and subsequently with your Blackberry. Changes made in the handheld are updated in Amicus Attorney via Outlook and vice versa.

Amicus and iPhone™

Contact and Calendar information (your appointments & tasks) can be synchronized between your iPhone and Amicus if your firm uses Microsoft Exchange Server. Take advantage of the Microsoft® Outlook Contacts & Calendar link to create a dynamic real-time synchronization between Amicus Attorney and Outlook and subsequently with your iPhone. Changes made in the handheld are updated in Amicus Attorney and vice versa via the Outlook Exchange Server.

Amicus and Windows Mobile® Devices

Windows Mobile devices can run Amicus Mobile (see above for details) to connect real-time to your Amicus Server. Even without Amicus Mobile you can separately synchronize Contact and Calendar information (your appointments & tasks) between your device and Amicus. Take advantage of the Microsoft® Outlook Contacts & Calendar link to create a dynamic real-time synchronization between Amicus Attorney and Outlook and subsequently with your device. Amicus and Palm® OS Devices

Contact and Calendar information (your appointments & tasks) can be synchronized between with your Palm OS device and Amicus. Premium and Small Firm Edition users can take advantage of the Microsoft® Outlook Contacts & Calendar link to create a dynamic real-time synchronization between Amicus Attorney and Outlook and subsequently with the handheld device. Small Firm Edition customers also have the option of just using the Palm OS Link to synchronize Contacts and Calendar information directly between the Palm handheld and Amicus Attorney. In both cases changes made in the handheld are updated in Amicus Attorney and vice versa.

Use Any Desk In The Office

If you need to use someone else’s desk, you can log into Amicus from any PC in your firm and have it behave as if you are at your own desk. So you’re not tied to any machine. Great for working from a boardroom, for people with two offices, or those who share desks.

Take It Anywhere

If you use a notebook, simply disconnect from the network and all your practice information goes with you. While running Offline, you can do almost anything you could have done at the office, including working with the documents you selected to take with you. When you return to the office and reconnect, any changes you made will be synchronized with changes made by others in your firm. With Amicus Attorney 2008 Premium Edition you can even synchronize while away from the office across the Internet (depending on network setup).

Connect From Anywhere

You can install Amicus Attorney on your home PC, then connect to your office and use it across the Internet. Just set up your office network to allow secure remote connections (it’s built into recent versions of Windows). Then log in from anywhere you have installed Amicus and work with it as if you were there! Ideal for satellite offices as well.

Use the Secondary Office

For remotely accessing your practice management information, you can install the Secondary Office on a home computer, laptop or any other computer you use occasionally. Pack you Amicus "briefcase" at your Primary Office, and then unpack it at the Secondary Office. After working at the Secondary Office, you can pack your briefcase there, transport it back to the Primary Office, and unpack it. This synchronizes the team database with the work you did at the Secondary Office.

Private Networks

Premium Edition has been optimized to work over virtual private networks (“VPNs”). So it makes the most of your connection. Or if your firm has chosen to implement terminal services (e.g. Citrix Systems), Amicus will be equally comfortable.
